What To Expect

Laying the foundation

Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to get well, be well and stay well. There are three general phases of chiropractic care . . .

Phase 1: Get Well > Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care 2-3 times per week until you get the relief you are seeking. This may be as short as one week or long as one month.

Phase 2: Be Well > Corrective Care

During the corrective care phase muscles, nerves, ligaments, discs and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, thereby helping prevent return of symptoms and garner long lasting relief. It is typical to need care 2-4 times per month for one or two, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Stay Well > Wellness Care

Once maximum benefit and healing are achieved, most patients choose to enjoy the benefits of our holistic treatments by coming in for periodic adjustments monthly, quarterly or "as needed", based on your lifestyle, activity and stress level, age, overall health and your long term goals.
